Responsibilities of the Candidate:
The Quality Assurance Associate plays a vital role in promptly analyzing the quality of print book files and making decisions based on provided specifications and instructions. They are responsible for ensuring the final file meets the required standards and possess strong attention to detail, adaptability to updated instructions, and the ability to accurately determine whether a file passes or fails. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism, work independently, efficiently navigate through a decision-driven workflow, and effectively track data using Excel.
Your skills and experience & education:
Conduct visual reviews of print book files, adhering to specifications and training
Perform repetitive tasks, making judgment-based decisions based on guidelines provided in standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Compare each task against the specifications outlined in SOPs
Work autonomously within general workflow guidelines to meet targets and timelines
Execute tasks with fairness, comprehending instructions from Subject Matter Experts, managers, or SOPs
Communicate inquiries effectively to Quality Assurance Specialists and Quality Assurance Leads
Maintain records of daily work using Excel and be open to working on weekends
Demonstrate maturity and the ability to review explicit adult content from a clinical perspective, including nudity and strong language
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Proficiency in Microsoft systems, including Word and Excel
Fluency in spoken and written English
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment driven by software systems and processes
Troubleshooting skills and the ability to make prompt visual decisions based on training
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge or experience in the publishing industry is desirable
Experience in quality assurance
Experience in data tracking
Aptitude for quickly learning new systems and software
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, with excellent organizational and follow-up abilities
