Responsibilities of the Candidate:
As a responsible team member, you are expected to carry out your duties with integrity and diligence. It is important to adhere to ethical standards and ensure that your actions do not harm the project or the organization. One of your main responsibilities is to contribute to the success of the project by fulfilling the tasks assigned to you.
Requirements Gathering:
Participating in requirement gathering JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions is a crucial part of your job. You will be required to support documentation in various areas, such as business, functional, technical, UI usability, data compliance, data migration, NFR, 3rd party tools, and products. You should also raise queries to clarify any ambiguity or unclear areas and seek resolution from the Technology Lead.
Project Estimation:
It is important to understand how the estimation is done, including effort and size. At the task level of your work area. You should measure and report the actual effort against the estimated effort and ensure task progress reporting in the appropriate tool, such as C20.
Capability Development:

This will help you to contribute effectively to the project and to enhance your career prospects. You should continuously strive to learn new skills and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Design & Analysis:
- Work with architects to create the HL Design and detailed design document for the assigned scope.
- Review all deliverables produced by the Developer to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Analyze non-functional requirements and design for NFR as necessary.
- Understand the interdependencies of the various components in work packages being developed.
- Create a detailed design and assign it to the Developer.
- Provide input to the Project Manager / Technical Lead to develop the project plan from a technical perspective.
- Assist in the development of proof of concept as designed by the Designer / Solution Architect.
- Initiate the setup of the development environment.
- Provide the customer with a demo for early feedback.
- Establish quality checkpoints for all deliverables.

Testing:
Your job will involve developing comprehensive unit testing cases and unit test plans, conducting comprehensive unit testing, creating unit test logs, preparing and supporting the preparation of the unit test strategy, planning document and data requirements, automating unit testing and contributing to automation of unit testing, conducting peer reviews of unit test cases, performing developer integration testing by integrating the components, and reviewing test cases as prepared by the Developer.
Defect Management:
As part of your role, you must participate in defect triage meetings, conduct RCA for defects identified, rework on the code based on review comments from code review/defects raised in unit testing, peer testing, SIT, UAT testing, or any other relevant testing phases, and assist in transition of knowledge and to support the organization with any defects raised post-production as required.
Process Improvements and Adherence:
You must participate in innovation sessions, implement process improvements to reduce manual intervention (e.g., automation), support process audit activities, generate ideas to provide value add and share the same with the Technical Lead, and adhere to process and tools (usage of cognizant 20 awareness of Quality Management System IDE, etc.).
Knowledge Management:
Your role will involve contributing towards updating knowledge assets such as user manual, online help documents, installation manuals/scripts, conducting knowledge transfer sessions for new joiners in the project team, conducting training through academy (if approved), guiding and mentoring team junior members from a technical perspective to ensure quality delivery of the components, and contributing/searching/reusing all types of assets from the repository.
People Management:
Engaging with the team, resolving conflict management within the team, and conducting internal training for developers within the team are essential aspects of your job.
Must-Have Skills:
You must have expertise in CMOD App Admin.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Skills in IBM Content Navigator, FileNet P8 – Workplace XT, FileNet P8 – Process Engine, and FileNet P8 – Content Engine are considered beneficial for this role.
