Basic Qualifications

The team you’ll be part of Our Business Group is a leading provider of wireless mobility networks and related services. We possess a strong portfolio of over 3,500 patent families that are essential for 5G technology, positioning us as a frontrunner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
We are seeking a talented System and Product Specialist Working Student to join our Customer & R&D System Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our team in laboratory activities, testing, and software development using Python, GO, and bash. Your tasks will involve assisting in the development, maintenance, and testing of various Nokia OSS (Telco Management software) products. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about tackling the technical challenges involved in successfully delivering on our mission.

As a part of our team, you will:
- Assist the team in installation and upgrade tasks within our system, which is based on Linux, Openstack, and VMware Cloud Solutions.
- Participate in testing activities for our products and deliveries.
- Maintain Network Management systems in both laboratory and customer testbed environments.
Your skills and experience You have:
- Experience in system administration, particularly with Red Hat/Linux or other UNIX systems.
- Knowledge of IP networking, including IPv4 and IPv6.
- Skills in database administration.
It would be advantageous if you also had:
- Programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, and bash.
- Knowledge of telecommunication technologies.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and virtualized systems, including Openstack, VMware, Openshift, Dockers, and Kubernetes.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
