Responsibilities of the Candidate:
The Trainee’s role is to configure and test Wipro’s proprietary Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) System in accordance with our clients’ requirements.
Configuration tasks involve utilizing proprietary systems and tools to set up and adjust tables/parameters within the TBA System, as specified by the analysis.
Your skills and experience & education:
Testing responsibilities include preparing test cases and test data, as well as executing test activities under the guidance of the SA.
This position serves as an entry-level opportunity for applicants who possess strong skill sets in programming (logical reasoning, analytical skills), systems configuration, and testing related to human resource function support systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Client Knowledge and Delivery
Review client requirements documents and preliminary test plans, adhere to deadlines, and prioritize client delivery. Ask clarifying questions regarding the stated requirements and effectively utilize handoff time. Use relevant problem-solving resources when necessary. Escalate issues appropriately. Utilize typical client requirements documentation to assist in analysis and/or test planning. Identify necessary test cases. Complete test plans with required test cases. Configure the system to meet analysis specifications. Document relevant configuration in analysis specifications. Resolve any issues identified during test execution. Ability to perform stress testing on the system.
Basic Qualifications:
B.Tech / BE (CS, IT and ECE) / MCA only. Only for candidates graduating in 2023. Quality and Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles/concepts. Knowledge of automation testing principles and some exposure may be advantageous. Understanding of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable components, and describe the relationships between them effectively (i.e., strong analytical skills). Application of basic relational database concepts (e.g., table relationships, keys, SQL, and DB2 queries, etc.). Experience with systems implementations. Proficiency in writing intermediate SQL queries. Troubleshooting intermediate system defects and errors. Effective task management, prioritization, and proactive status updates to Managers. Capability to relate test plans to real-time customer impact. Ability to think beyond the provided test plan and generate additional test cases. Strong inclination and aptitude for thorough system testing. Good understanding of data analysis. Analyzing and debugging issues. Using relevant problem-solving resources when necessary. Escalating issues as appropriate.
